Being kind sounds so simple, however, there are likely many ways that we can all improve. There are small acts of kindness as simple as opening the door for someone or bringing a co-worker a cup of coffee. Other acts of kindness can occur in daily communications such as speaking to your child about cleaning her room in a kinder way or not arguing with your husband about whose turn it is to clean the dishes. Even bigger acts of kindness can be serving as a volunteer at a local food bank or donating money to your favorite charity. Perhaps even more important is the kindness we give to ourselves by allowing ourselves time for exercise, eating a healthy meal and sleep.
