Second Annual Stair Climb Challenge-2022

This 3 week virtual Stair Climb Challenge is designed to motivate you to use the stairs whenever you have the opportunity. We encourage you to make a goal for each day, for each week, or for the whole 3 weeks. Try to push yourself during this time and you will improve your fitness and your commitment to your health.Β  We are grateful for your support!

  1. Feeling great – The staircase outside of my building has 18 steps. They are super convenient but the neighbors are talking haha

    I can finally climb from the 3rd floor of our building to the 15th floor without stopping!

  5. Hi! I am using the data from flights climbed with my iphone health app (16 stairs per flight on average).
    1/25: 7 floors: 112 stairs
    1/26: 32 floors: 512 stairs
    1/27: 18 floors: 288 stairs
    1/28: 20 floors: 320 stairs
    1/29: 28 floors: 448 stairs
    1/30: 35 floors: 560 stairs
    Total = 2240 stairs!

  6. my first week total is 2380, the bulk from a flight of 45 steps at a park near my home, which me and my poor dog run together.

  7. Achieved my own goal of 50 flights (18 steps each) in 20 mins; still able to increase a bit each day. The neighbors are still talking, and some sent videos that took of me πŸ™‚

    • Total stairs for the whole challenge: 18,809. Feeling stronger than at the start and have gotten really good at reading and climbing stairs at the same time!

  8. Week 2: 3,221 stairs Gary and I have been able to climb the stairs and enjoy the beautiful sunset at Richmond Beach a couple of times this week πŸ™‚

  10. Total of 596 steps. While I didn’t beat last week’s steps, I did still get more steps in than my first week and that was being unable to access stairs for 2 days so overall feeling very accomplished. So thankful for the opportunity to improve my health.

  11. I know the challenge is to count steps but I reached my personal goal of 200 flights of stairs, with 10 feet of gain each flight for a total elevation gain of 2000ft/day. Which happens to the same distance from the trailhead at Manker Flats to the ski hut at Mt Baldy.

  13. My total for the challenge was 58,320 steps, and am going to reward myself by hiking on Sunday! Everyone should celebrate our successes πŸ™‚

  15. I know I am late, however, I appreciate the push to walk and climb stairs! Three-week total of around 7,200 according to my phone. Thank you for the inspiration.
